Police Disperse #RevolutionNow In Lagos And Abuja

The police in Lagos have arrested 10 participants of the #RevolutionNow protest currently ongoing across the country. The protesters, who gathered at the Ikeja area of Lagos, were attacked by the police with teargas canisters in order to disperse them. Those arrested have been moved to an unknown destination while others at the scene of the protest are being chased by the police to leave the vicinity. The demonstrators had taken to the streets early this morning to demand better governance from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Over 40 of the #RevolutionNow protesters have been also arrested in Abuja by military personnel deployed by the government to patrol different parts of the city. The protesters, who were coming from the Mararaba axis, were arrested around the Unity Fountain and thrown into at least six trucks that whisked them away to an unknown destination. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Closes Eti-Osa Isolation Center In Lagos

The Lagos State Government has shut down the Eti-Osa Isolation Center, reported Nigerian News Agency. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the announcement during the 17th update on the management of Corona virus in the state.The governor said the Agidingbi Isolation Center would also be closed and patients relocated to a large capacity center – Indo-Centre in Anthony area, which would be soon be inaugurated. He said, “Over the last four, five months, we have built an excess capacity center, but that is only the way to go, you cannot over-prepare. We have got to a stage where we need to balance the economics of this and which of these facilities we need to keep running.
